I am a lover of music I listen to it everywhere. I love walking barefoot, staring up at the night sky, having deep conversations and I love to cuddle. I love to eat and alot more then you would expect, I am a girl with a serious appetite. I love being out in nature, adore people who can make me laugh to the point of tears and I love making connections. I have always been interested in the spirit world, sprituality and all things 'unknown'.
Life as I would know it and as I would view it would change. All the things I loved I didnt seem to love any more. I lost interest and seriously didnt see the point in doing or achieving anything. I was in a very dark place. Why? 2017 taught me the biggest life sessions I could have imagined. I suffered from some major breakdowns where my anxiety and depression got a little out of control. This stemmed from an accumulation of events which flipped my world upside down. Going through a pretty messy break up, loosing my job and focus in life and lastly the main factor was the death of my father in 2017 from Cancer who was my favourite person in the whole wide world.
A few months after his death I decided to consciously make a change and to begin a journey of self discovery, connection, authenticity and healing. I took my backpack and decided to backpack South East Asia alone with literally no idea what so ever where I was going or what I thought I was going to acheive by the end of it all. But off I went 6 months and visited Myanmar, Northern Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore. I chose to live in the present moment, to accept whatever emotions, feelings and sensations that came to the surface and to honour the journey I was on no matter where it would lead me. Greiving on the road wasnt easy and I felt quite lonely. But the moment I said 'OK, universe I am here... Show me the way'.....Letting go of my fear and softening my grip the whispers came and my life began to change...
Meditation, Yoga and learning how to focus on my breathing made such a possitive impact on my life and are now tools I use to help me regain balance when life gets heavy. I chose to take responsibility for my wellbeing and I want to share the same things that have helped me along the way to others who are ready to make a conscious and positve change in their lives. I still have so much to learn and I am truly thankful for all the experiences I have had to go through on my journey because it has led me here. No one said life would be easy but how we react to circumstances and situations makes all the difference. We need to be our own salvation, our own light at the end of the tunnel and we need to put the work in to become the better versions of ourselves. To be love. To love yourself enough to do what is necessary that will bring your soul the peace and happiness it truly deserves.
“Live your truth. Express your love. Share your enthusiasm. Take action towards your dreams. Walk your talk. Dance and sing to your music. Embrace your blessings. Make today worth remembering.”
